VELANS Chemistry collects no personal data of any kind. The app runs entirely on your device, works fully offline, has no user accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking. Nothing you do in the app ever leaves your phone.
VELANS Chemistry ("the app") is an educational study companion for the periodic properties of the elements, published by Dr D C Sundaravelan (VELANS, Coimbatore, India). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Android application distributed through Google Play under the package name com.velans.chemistry.
None. The app does not collect, request, transmit, or store any personal or sensitive user data. Specifically, it does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, device identifiers, advertising ID, usage analytics, or crash telemetry. There is no sign-up, sign-in, or user profile.
To make the app useful, a small amount of information is saved locally on your device only, and is never uploaded anywhere:
This data lives in the app's private storage on your phone. It is not accessible to us or to any third party, and it is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage from Android settings.
The app requests no runtime permissions and has no Internet permission — it cannot send or receive data over a network. The only optional action that leaves the app is the "Send feedback" link, which opens your own email app with our address pre-filled; sending an email is entirely your choice and is handled by your email provider, not by us.
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not share, sell, or disclose any information, because we do not collect any.
The app is a general-audience educational tool aimed at senior-secondary and competitive-exam (JEE / NEET) students. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and displays no ads. We do not knowingly collect data from children because we do not collect data at all.
Because no data is transmitted off the device, there is no data in transit to intercept. On-device data is protected by Android's standard app-sandbox isolation, which prevents other apps from reading it.
If the app's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated and the "Effective" date above revised. Material changes will be reflected here before the corresponding app update is released.
